In the last 20 years, the faculty has grown along with the institution. Many amongst the staff have been with the institution since the inception this is largely credited to a benevolent, considerate management and a good working atmosphere. The members far exceed the actual requirement just so a backup is required in case of any absence. Teachers are deputed to attend seminars, workshops and well known resource persons are frequently invited to interact with the staff. Faculty is further guided by senior advisors who have the distinction of having put in 50 plus years of service in the field of education.

SPORTS AND GAMES

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy ‘is a maxim which is universal. At Carmel we encourage outdoor and indoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, Basket ball, Athletics, Table Tennis, Carom, Chess etc. our annual sports meet is an event eagerly awaited by our students. This helps us inculcate true sportsmanship and emphasize the importance of physical fitness. Well-known sports personalities coach our students for all the above mentioned disciplines.

It is not important whether you win or lose but the fact that you have participated is of prime importance'.

The school believes in the above line and has provided ample opportunities for children to excel in the sport of their choice.

The school also provides Swimming, Karate and Yoga classes.

The students are also encouraged with good training by expert coaches in the discipline of each sport.

The annual tournaments at all levels give good scope for students to experience true spirit of competition.

Carmel school can be proud of many students who have reached the national levels in events they have taken participated in.

Nehru Yuvaka Sangatan and Education Department conducted District Level Basket Ball Tournament on 8th and 9th of sep 2010 at Kanteerava stadium and the Carmel School won the first place-2010-11

To inculcate patriotism Independence Day is celebrated every year. Various scenes of the freedom movement are enacted by the students of lower classes, during the week. Different kinds of activities are planned during this week to develop love and respect for the nation in each child’s mind.

There is a constant strife going on all round the world ---- all for survival and existence. And in this fast moving, competitive world the need to have a talent has become vital.

Today’s youth must be aware of their potential The various clubs and the life skill programmes aim to work in building an all round personality ready to face the challenges of the world.
